Having to spend the summer holidays with their odious cousin Eustace was just about the end for Edmund and Lucy.
They were gazing dejectedly at the picture of the ship with the dragon prow when slowly it began to rock, and the wind to blow. In a flash the frame disappeared and the three children were flung into the waves. Grasping at the ropes thrown out to them, they clambered to safety aboard the boat. Settled into her cabin, Lucy felt sure they were in for a lovely time. And so they were, for they had joined Prince Caspian in his search for the seven friends of his father long since lost on a dangerous voyage to the Eastern Islands
The third in the "Narnia" series by C. S. Lewis, which began with "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", this is the tale of Caspian's search for the seven Telmarine Lords, friends of his father banished by his wicked Uncle. The search takes them across the Eastern ocean beyond the Lone Islands, possibly to the end of the earth, and Aslan's country.....
