by Tom Stoppard
11th to 18th February 2006
Director Philip Vander Gucht writes:
Tom Stoppard has said that this is one of his favourite plays. It is easy to see why. The characters are boldly written in thick, broad, brush strokes. Little is left to the imagination. The plot races from one absurd scene to another with just enough time to savour the fabulous word-play that gives Stoppard his deserved reputation as one of our greatest playwrights. There is no room for subtlety here. There is only room for clear-cut comedy, fast paced frolics and lots of innocent laughter. |
