Director Mavis Dunphy writes:
A Musical Play set in the London of 1849, "The Ragged Child" tells of the story of young Joe Cooper and his little sister Annie, and their struggle for survival, and of Lord Shaftesbury and his determined efforts to improve the lot of London's poor, particularly the children.
Presented by the "National Youth Music Theatre" to great acclaim some years ago, this is an exciting and challenging work, which our young actors are looking forward to with their usual enthusiasm!
